In this session, we will explore strategies to support newcomer EL students. Participants will gain insights into practical approaches to facilitate their transition into school. As well as exploring instructional strategies that cater to the varying language proficiencies and learning styles of newcomer students. We will explore how to use their WIDA score and Step Up MATT book to meet the student where they are at on their educational journey.
