Friday March 7, 2025 1:20pm - 2:00pm CST
A reduced ability to predict what will happen next is a key feature of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder ASD, resulting in rigid thinking, anxiety, and challenging behaviors in the classroom. This session will explore the “why” behind many challenging behaviors, looking through the lens of a prediction deficit and provide ways to help students achieve academic and social success, including visual supports, stories, and pre-teaching.
